Seasoning for Beef Roast in Crock Pot
This seasoned beef can be cooked in the slow cooker or Instant Pot. Serve this tender low-carb, paleo, whole30 beef for family dinner or use the meat in other recipes.
Updated 2020 with Instant Pot instructions
This recipe originated with my Mother. I told her I had a roast but I didn't know what to do with it. She said throw some steak seasoning, thyme, and rosemary on it and put it in the oven. I took her advice but of course I didn't make it in the oven but my slow cooker/electric pressure cooker. 'Seasoned beef'. I tried to be more creative with the title of this recipe but I'm still drawing a blank so I'll for now it's seasoned beef. If you make it and have a suggestion for a better name please let me know in the comments.
What Cut Of Beef To Use
This recipe is made to use a beef roast. I used a 4 pound chuck roast in particular. Other suggestions include top round roast, eye of round, or even brisket. Cook your roast until it's falling apart tender and shreds easily with a fork. If it's not at that point, keep cooking it.

Steak Seasoning
The main seasoning in this recipe is steak seasoning. You can use your preferred steak seasoning here. If you don't have one, use my homemade one below. Most steak seasonings (like mine) already include salt so it is not necessary to include salt in this recipe. Check the ingredients in your steak seasoning. If salt it not included, you will need to add it. How much salt to add is up to you. I tend to eat lower sodium so I try to never add more than 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt to a recipe. But that's just me.
